Names…

“What’s in a name? That which we call a rose,
By any other name would smell as sweet;” -Juliet Act II Scene II

There is a classic quote from one of the best plays by Mr. Billy Shakespeare, Romeo & Juliet. I think quite often and probably more than I should about how words became the words we use. How did our dictionary become words with meanings? Who decided we would call this object a fork? Who was the person that described this as hot? Yea, I know I am totally a weirdo but I began to think more about it when my husband and I started to name our little one.

How hard is that by the way?! To name someone whom you have never met? And they have this name for their whole lives…that is totally a lot of pressure. We wanted it to be a pretty girl name but I also wanted to give her a very strong womanly name that she would be proud of. So we decided on Aubriegh Mae, Mae is very old school and is after my grandmother and 🙂 Nanny BEGGED me at one point to never name my daughter Ida 🙂 So I didn’t. 🙂 Plus one of his aunts mentioned to put “DR” in front of the name and if it sounded good it should be a contender…well if my daughter became a doctor I really don’t care what her name was. I would be a very happy momma! Still Dr. Aubriegh Buckingham sounds pretty awesome.

While this particular blog is just funny and random and just some thoughts running round in my head, I find myself wondering lots of weird things since becoming pregnant. If I will be any good at being a mom? Will I be able to give her the attention and love she deserves? What kind of person will she be? Will she love our faith and walk it like her father and I do? All these weird questions are mixed in with a very nutty birth plan my doc wants me to fill out Do I really want music playing while I give birth? Would I prefer to give birth on all fours or squatting?…Just all very strange questions…

Oh boy…only 10.5 weeks till we hope she makes her debut! Please dear Lord no snow storms! I don’t want to be giving birth in my living room because I cant get out of my drive way. After Aubriegh gets here it can storm till summer hits! 🙂

Day 27: Attraction

What type of person attracts me? A funny, sarcastic, handsome, open, strong, annoying man I call George. I will have to find another awesome picture to show you how awesome he is.

Day 26:Somewhere Anywhere

There are many places I would love to visit. If I had unlimited funds George and I would buy an RV and just travel everywhere. I have always wanted to go to Ireland. Just because I’m Irish, at least a good portion of my heritage is. We take “road trips” twice a year to South Carolina. We take I-95 south all the way down to I-20 where we end up on bettis academy road and on to my nannys house, then to his grandmas…no matter what time it is 🙂

On these trips we have at least stopped in every state along the way. Which includes New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware, D.C, Virginia, North Carolina, and finally driving through South Carolina for 3 hours to get to Aiken County. George has the bladder the size of a walnut 🙂 He calls me a camel lol apparently I can store water for long periods of time 🙂

We would really enjoy it if while we were driving through sort of make a fun vacation out of it. Go see the awesome stuff in these states, except New Jersey, I very much dislike New Jersey. I am actually really curious about what we are doing for our honeymoon. Since our wedding is in the middle of the semester, I’ll still have to attend class. We want to at least take a four-day weekend and go somewhere to relax. Then on winter break go on a cruise or something. We have yet to decide. 🙂 We would love to travel, so somewhere anywhere is totally appropriate.

Day 25: Who are you?

Who am I? Well to tell you the honest truth. I have no idea. I am constantly growing, constantly changing, always learning. So I guess I will tell you who I am currently. I am, a lover, christian, singer, writer, friend, daughter, niece, cousin , sister, god-mother, dog owner, hard worker….just to name a few 🙂

But seriously I am a christian coming closer to God every single day. I am a fiance waiting to become someones wife ((time needs to fly by)) Very impatient, I don’t like the waiting lol I can’t honestly answer this post just yet, maybe I’ll let george write it for me so HE can tell you who I am. Perception right?

Day 23: 15 Facts

What could I possibly tell you that you don’t already know? About George there may be a lot!! About myself wow this will definitely be hard. I am totally a weirdo just let me warn you!

1. I am a stomach sleeper

2. I over analyze everything

3. I have anxiety attacks, and no they are not treated…yet

4. I want to be a mother so bad!!

5. Strawberries are my favorite fruit

6. Ranch dressing is ALWAYS a condiment with my pizza…even the NY slice (blasphemy!)

7. Pasta is my weakness

8. Working on my self-esteem, sadly its low 😦

9. Despite ^ I am surprisingly confident

10. Major Perfectionist

11. Wishes my family were more supportive, or at least more excited

12. I sing alone, but if I notice I have an audience it immediately sounds like I swallowed a frog

13. I love movies/entertainment. Especially..well all of them!! Musicals make my knees buckle 🙂

14. What I really look like, does not match what I see in my head

15. God is, and will always be, the center of my marriage, I can’t wait to FINALLY call George my husband 🙂 And watch him lead our family in the ways that God calls him.

Well, that wasn’t as bizarre as I thought it was gonna be lol Although I am a weirdo lol Those of you that knew me “back in the day” understand just how weird. I love Star Wars and is starting to like Star Trek. Video Games used to consume me untill I had to sell my system to pay some bills 😦 I really want another system….Haha I realize I keep going on and on, but you read my blog to be entertained, or to find an outlet from a very boring day. I can at least give you something to laugh about or learn. Or realize that you life is not that bad, I am crazy and now you know it lol

I’ll let George write his own list, I thik that will be fun 🙂
